【摘要】:Thistestmethoddeterminestheextentandnatureofcushionthicknesschangeunderstaticload.Creepdataobtainedbythistestmethodareapplicabletothecushionundertheconditionsoftheparticulartestandarenotnecessarilythesameasobtainedinacompletepackinactualpackagingenvironments.Datamaybeaffectedbymagnitudeofstaticload,specimenarea,shape,andthickness,byvaryingambientconditionsoftemperature,humidity,byfrictioninthemovableplatenguidesystem,andbyactualcushionthickness.Vibrationinthevicinityofthetestfixturesmayalsoinfluencedataresults.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofcreeppropertiesofpackagecushioningmaterials.Itisapplicabletomaterialsavailableinbulk,sheet,ormoldedformusedforthecushioningofarticlesduringstorage,handling,andshipment.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
