【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversjointsforprecastconcretepipeandboxandothersectionsusingpreformedflexiblejointsealantsforuseinstormsewersandculvertswhicharenotintendedtooperateunderinternalpressure,orarenotsubjecttoinfiltrationorexfiltrationlimits.Jointmaterialusedinhorizontalapplicationsisintendedtopreventtheflowofsolidsthroughthejoint.1.2Precastconcretemanholesectionsandotherverticalstructuresthataresubjecttointernalorexternalpressure,infiltration,orexfiltrationlimitsarenotprohibitedfrombeingspecified.Jointsinverticalstructurescoveredbythisspecificationareintendedmainlytopreventtheflowofsolidsorfluidsthroughthejoint.1.3ThisspecificationistobeusedwithpipeandstructuresconforminginallrespectstoSpecificationsC14M,C76M,C478M,C506M,C507M,C655M,C985M,C1504,andC1433M,providedthatifthereisaconflictinpermissiblevariationsindimensions,therequirementsofthisspecificationshallgovern.1.4ThisspecificationisthemetriccompanionofSpecificationC990.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Thisspecificationcoversthematerialandperformanceofthejointandsealantonly.Infiltrationandexfiltrationquantitiesforinstalledsectionsaredependentonfactorsotherthanthejointswhichmustbecoveredbyotherspecificationsandsuitabletestingoftheinstalledpipeline.
